Yes. We recommend that you always upgrade your current software version to the latest available software. This upgrade contains bug fixes and improves application stability.
Nothing will happen if you do not upgrade your software but over time, less support will be available for outdated software versions
The upgrade is free of charge.
The upgrade will only affect the Drifta software and will not impact any functionality on your PC.
Once you have upgraded to the latest version it’s not possible to change back to the old version.
The software upgrade simply updates the software version of the Drifta; it cannot make your PC stop working. Please contact your computer manufacturer for assistance.
Go to the app store,
Download and install the latest application software for iOS devices,
Launch the application again and it should now work.
First troubleshoot the following:
Make sure USB Mode is switched ‘ON’, on your iOS device. NB! If USB Mode is off on your iOS device, the PC will be unable to pick up the Wi-Fi signal from the Drifta.
If this does not resolve the issue, then make sure that you have the latest software installed:
Launch the PC Drifta application.
Select the ‘Settings’ icon
Check your application version
Anything below v1.2.11 will not work for PCs and you will need to uninstall the Drifta application. To uninstall, you need to:
o Go to ‘Windows ‘Start’ menu
o Select ‘All Programs’
o Select ‘DStv Mobile Decoder’ and uninstall it.
o Then go to the website and go to upgrade my software and download and install the file.
